I Contain Multitudes is a digital collage compiling 18 unsent text messages I’ve collected from the Unsent Project. From 18 different people who had a first love share their name with me, Star.

I’ve always believed in how people are different in every way possible and I was always open to new things. I was never really sure whether some things are wrong or just “different” people always see something that are not “normal” as “wrong” but to me, everything is right but just in their own different ways.

Everything seems like it’s at the whims of people and forces with power unimaginable to us. Fiction empowers us to imagine a world where you can create your own story, and save yourself from your helplessness.

Why is she putting on a mask? Why doesn’t she want to be seen? Why is she lying about her identity? Why doesn’t she fight back?

these are all analog collages make exclusively with things originally put to waste. they reflect identity, the self and whatever meaning the viewer feels. all untitled and from 2021.

Dedicated to anyone fighting with their self-image or anyone in general that needs to hear this. Spreading positivity, in a form of a pep talk, in hopes of uplifting others and motivating people to be confident and help them realize that they are deserving of love.

A Javanese music scale is included in a part of my full name and the arts (musical, visual and literary) grew a life of its own by my side beyond just my name. In this poem, I show appreciation of the intimate role of the arts in my self-discovery, growth and self-care by symbolising it in a house renovated overnight.

It’s almost scary how easily our minds are tricked into believing something, especially by itself. They say you remember your most important and eventful memories, which has theoretically shaped you to become the person that you are currently.

every morning is a new beginning. it's always time to start a new habit or let go of another. there's no need for a special occasion to learn, or to unlearn. to try something out, to take a day off (you deserve it), to become better. a new beginning is a flower blooming, your coffee brewing, cleaning your bedroom or putting on some perfume. it's whatever you decide to make it.
