The Charlottenburg Palace have always reminded me of a life I wanted as a child. Or maybe I didn’t want it. I’m not very sure myself but, whenever I pass by the palace on my way to my German lessons a year or so ago.

We are all cut from the same cloth– in the fabric of the universe, we are all lost souls connected by one red thread– love.

The desire to escape reality is inexorable to those of us burdened with the harshness of life.

Social norms have repressed childhood interests into the vessel termed ‘forgotten oddity’. The fast-paced working world of today has coerced us to leave our childhood fantasy and dreams behind, to grow up and adapt to a ‘mature’ reality.

Recovering from hardship may be a lonesome journey where one could be misunderstood and merely labeled as another misfit, another oddity to society.
