My name is Chloe Berry and I am a half-Chinese indie singer songwriter. I recently released a song from my upcoming debut album called “Sweeter Honey.” I originally wrote the song when I was 16 years old about times I felt I wasn’t good enough for somebody to love. I’ve grown a lot since myself almost four years ago and when I brought back the song there was a lot of nostalgia to it. It was one of the first songs I had ever written on guitar and now when I sing it I feel compassion for my younger self. It still brings back a lot of emotions of feeling lonely and unwanted, but my self-worth and ability to move past things has grown and this makes me able to sing the song in the dulcet way it sounds now. My boyfriend, Spoonuel, produced the song and he has also been a big part of my journey of moving past bad experiences. I hope for the song to be something someone out there can relate to and hear that we can still think about when we were in a bad place with understanding and even fondness in a weird way. I think there’s a bittersweetness to life and if we learn to grow from our past idea of ourselves we can appreciate that bittersweetness.

About Chloe Berry

Raised and based in New York City, Chloe Berry is a nineteen year old, half-Asian indie musician. She has been writing songs since she was seven years old— always drawing on her feelings and imagery in her lyrics.

Chloe’s music presents as lighthearted and airy despite starkly real and borderline-frustrated lyrics. With the goal of invoking a new feeling with each track, Chloe’s careful songwriting and dulcet singing creates a dreamy journey.

A self-taught musician, Chloe learned much about music off YouTube. After performing only in her bedroom for many years, she finally began sharing her music. With the help of her boyfriend and producer, Spoonuel, Chloe began to create fully imagined songs.
