When we see art we see it as a glimpse of an expression of the artist who created it. May it be abstract or displaying a scene of clear description, artists have no limit to what they portray using the media they would like to use.

Reflections on what it means to seek out our truest selves

How can a story be told in mosaic? This essay dives into the work of Han Kang in her award-winning novel, The Vegetarian which gives commentary on Korean culture and showcases how stories can be told in mosaic to expose the gritty underbelly of our psyche.

In the process of discerning ourselves and our place in the universe, we need as much of "looking out, up, and backwards" as "looking in, down, and onwards".

College hasn’t prepared me how to navigate my life after university, which can be pretty scary.

Holding the camera for other people has always been a job of mine ever since I could remember, several attempts of being in front of the camera was made but it never really worked up until I started talking to the right people.

As beings, it is more than usual for one to neglect the thoughts in one’s mind & desire in the soul as it doesn’t feel as one’s belonging. Often felt like society’s norms and non-verbal validations are the world’s preeminent mastery to achieve and act out to be safely ‘sheltered’. Though clearly it isn’t—and though deep inside it is comprehensible—one’s still no superhero—as superheroes are brave, and one’s own identity is not even theirs.

This poem is about finding yourself again after a long time, and even though you’ve changed, you’re okay with it. It’s a reminder to never leave yourself to be there for someone else.

In the course of our lives, we encounter a lot of individuals, whether their presence is momentary or everlasting, or regardless of how long they stay in our lives. The multitude of individuals we meet, no matter how different, all provide something to us, imparting to us little slivers that convene into a page, building up the story of who we are.

This poem is about growing up, and how there are expectations that sometimes can’t be met or circumstances that won’t go your way. It’s about realizing how big the world is, and how much time we have left to figure our stuff out.
